Photoshop Chops Tutorial: How to Add an Intercooler to car

 

This is an intermediate Photoshop tutorial. I will show you how to add an intercooler to any car or truck.

 

Intercooler

 

So grab your self an image of an intercooler and a car.

Get your polygon lasso toolpolygon lasso tool and select around the intercooler.

Once selected (copy and past) Ctrl + C then Ctrl + V onto your car image (making sure it's on a new layer)

Get the scale tool from menu Edit>> Transform>>Scale and scale the intercooler into place. Remember we will be cutting off the sides of the intercooler (look at bottom image to see final view

Once the intercooler is in place you need to hide the layer and select around the cars intake.

Select Tool Photoshop

Then in the layers panel unhide the layer with the intercooler over the intake and go to menu Select>>Inverse the press the delete key. And this should make you car look like the intercooler fits..

Past Intercooler

 

Then it’s just a case of changing the opacity (located on the layer panel) to make the intercooler darker or lighter. Done!
