Photoshop Chops Tutorial: How to beef up a car
This tutorial is quite complex and long, it shows you how to beef up your ride using Photoshop, specifically this tutorial will show you how to duplicate wheels and extend the body of a car.

Here is the over modified version

Open an the image in photoshop and with the
polygon lasso select the rear door.

Duplicate the door across the body of the car. Use the scale and perspective tool to adjust any panels which don’t look right. Remember make sure each panel is on a new layer for easy editing.

Your car should look something like this with all the door duplication across the body.

With the
polygon lasso select the overlaying door panels, leaving the windows.

Now if like my car the last window is out of perspective then we need to fix that.

Go to Photoshop menu EDIT>>TRANSFORM>>PERSPECTIVE. Align the last window. You might also have to scale it too EDIT>>TRANSFORM>>SCALE.

Once your happy with the alignment of your windows go ahead and remove all the window breaks (black strips) in the windows

Ok now get rid of all the handles and door lines on the rear party to the body using the
Clone Stamp Tool.

Now the body work is done we need to duplicate the wheels. Grab the
polygon lasso and select the wheel arches, undercarriage and the other wheel.

Press Ctrl + C then Ctrl + V to copy and past it. it should now be on a new layer. However it doesn’t look right just yet.

The wheels are to small in ratio. So go to photoshop menu EDIT>>TRANSFORM>>SCALE and scale to eye or 107% if your using this image.

Your Photoshoped car should look something like this now. No wheels and the wheel arches should be black

With the
polygon lasso select and delete the over lapping parts. Also delete the wheels which over lap the road.

Post your final works on the photoshop Chops forum!
