Photoshop Chops Tutorial: How to add window tint to a car (photoshop CS3)

Ever wondered what your car would look like with window tint? Open up photoshop with your image and lets start this tutorial!

So open up your car in Photoshop and select the polygon lasso toolpolygon lasso tool and start selecting around the windows. Note: when you select your first window make sure to press the ‘add to selection button’ (marked in red in the image below, this allows you to select more than one item).

You should have something that looks like (below image).

Now once everything is selected press the New Layer Buttonnew layer button (if you can’t find it press Shift+Ctrl+N, for a new layer). Once that is done select the Piant Bucket Buttonpaint bucket tool and then the Color Select Buttonpaint color selector and make sure the paint is black and paint the selected piece.

The hard part is over now for the easy part. Go to the opacity selector near your layers pallet and change the opacity to 50 %.

and your done you should have something that looks similar to this (image below). You can make the color as dark or as light as you like however I have gone for a lighter color
