How to add movement to a car using Photoshop Chops Tutorial

 

This tutorial will show you how to give movement to a car. It’s  simple and has a great result. Open up photoshop and lets get going.

With the polygon lasso toolpolygon lasso tool go around the car and select the body and wheels.

After selecting the body press Ctrl + C and then Ctrl + V and a new layer should appear with just the body of the car. Go to the layers panel and select the background layer then go to Filter>>Blur>>Motion Blur. Set the angle to 22 and the Distance to 23pixels.

Now to cars looking kinda funny because the wheels are not moving... So where going to have to select them and do the same motion blur to them

Now depending on the image you will have something looking like this below. We have some brown grass on the front bumper and wheel we will have to smudge them out or it won’t look right.

Once you have enlarged the wheels selected the layer the car is on and go to menu Edit>>Transform>>Scale. Make the cars width 80% but leave the height the same. So grab the smudge toolsmudge tool and smudge the grass into the bumper and around the wheel.

Done now it looks like your car is moving fast!
